Consultation has concluded

Calling all artists, creators and culture enthusiasts of Wollongong! The time has come to unleash your imagination and join us in crafting a new cultural plan!

Over the past five years, Creative Wollongong has brought us together through a range of events, programs and initiatives, but now we need your input into the next one. Share your thoughts, dreams, and aspirations for our cultural life, and together, we'll create a strategy that will shape our City’s identity in the coming years.

How to join us on this exciting journey!
We’re hosting four in-person creative sessions where we’ll ask you what's working, what's not and what can inspire and support you moving forward as part of this creative community. These two-hour sessions are free to attend and we'll provide light refreshments.

Three of the sessions will be hosted by Council’s Cultural Development team and facilitated by community artist Sally Ann Conwell. Sally Ann is an art therapist, arts-based community development facilitator, and award-winning artist living on Dharawal country, Thirroul. She'll lead creative activities designed to explore a series of questions.

You can bring along photos, posters, records, or anything else you'd like to share during the session that helps tell your story. You can also submit photos, videos or other relevant files with your registration, and we'll display these on the night. Please note - although it's being held in the Youth Centre, it's an event for people of all ages, not just young people. We encourage anyone with an interest in the future of Wollongong's musical landscape to attend.
