Climate change mitigation refers to efforts to reduce or prevent emission of greenhouse gases. There are several different pathways that we as a community can take to reduce emissions. This includes renewable energy sources, energy efficiency programs, reducing waste, reducing transport emissions and carbon capture technologies.
Growing Fair Food Movement
I Love Wollongong because of its growing Fair Food Movement that is rebuilding the relationship with good food, which is produced locally with minimal ecological impact. A fairer and more sustainable regional food system will contribute to an enlivened, enterprising, connected, waste avoidant, climate change resilient and ultimately healthier community.
